“Blue Texas”
Radical leftist billionaire George Soros is reportedly pouring more of his ill-gotten millions into a campaign called “Blue Texas” to try to turn Texas Democrat.

This won’t help with voters
We have no idea how the Democrats can win back young male voters, but we’re pretty sure that letting one of their allegedly male Senators burst out in tears like a little girl as he recalls the trauma of being forced to the ground a week ago for bursting into Kristi Noem’s press conference is not going to do it.
Last Person Left, Turn Out The Lights
Following its quick ouster of David Hogg, the Democratic National Committee has some new departures to deal with: two top union leaders are leaving. Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, and Lee Saunders, president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, declined offers to stay on as at-large members of the DNC.
Both had backed someone other than Ken Martin to head the DNC. Weingarten wrote to Martin, “While I am proud to be a Democrat, I appear to be out of step with the leadership you are forging, and I do not want to be the one who keeps questioning why we are not enlarging our tent and actively trying to engage more and more of our communities.” Saunders said he had to focus on the “unprecedented attack” on “public service workers” – i.e., Trump cutting the deadwood.
While this hardly means the Democrats are losing the support of the teachers and government workers’ unions (we can’t imagine them supporting the GOP), it’s been their fervent support that’s helped keep many Dems in power, and it sounds as if they’re turning lukewarm on the party’s current suicidal direction. It all adds to the impression that the Democratic Party leadership is in disarray, torn between alienating the young radicals who are dragging it too far left ever to win another election anyplace other than the deepest blue hellholes, or alienating the big donors and union bosses who do the heavy lifting to get them elected.
It reminds us of Red Skelton’s old joke: “This is like trying to choose between the gas chamber and the electric chair.”

Fetterman Watch
Democrat Sen. John Fetterman has been taking a lot of flak from his own party for not embracing their politically-suicidal radical-left positions, but that hasn’t stopped him from emerging as perhaps the only prominent Democrat not to side with rioters, looters, illegal alien criminals and goons who attack law enforcement officers. To his colleagues’ chagrin, he just doubled down on siding with common sense and law and order.
No wonder many people are laying odds on how much longer he will remain a Democrat. It looks as if once again, the Babylon Bee’s satirical articles predicted the future:

Soros and his trolls apparently think that one of our Senate seats is vulnerable because John Cornyn is facing a serious primary challenge from AG Ken Paxton, whom outsiders and Democrats hate, so therefore, they assume Texas voters hate him, too. Reality check: The Attorney General’s seat is also a statewide office, and Paxton beat the Democrat for that in 2022 by nearly 10 points. And their lawfare against him has been about as effective on Texas voters as their Trump lawfare campaign was. Either way (Cornyn or Paxton) Democrats are going to lose.
As that Western Journal article notes, Texas has voted for the Republican for President in every election since 1980, the last Democrat to win a Senate election was in 1988, and they haven’t won any statewide election since 1994. Yes, we’ve had a lot of (some say too many) Californians move in, but hopefully, they remember why they left California.
If the Democrats want to waste a lot of money they could have spent on winnable races, and if Soros wants to bankrupt himself funding losers like Beta O’Rourke in Texas, then I’m all for it. I just hope voters are smart enough not to fall for a stealth candidate like Colin Allred, who packaged himself as a moderate conservative when he ran against Ted Cruz. But despite the Dems pumping millions into Allred’s campaign (you couldn’t escape his commercials), he still lost by nearly 8 points.
